Oliver’s Journey at Pet Practice Ascot

Feline Infectious Peritonitis (FIP) is a rare viral disease which until recently carried a very high mortality rate in those cats affected. Fortunately for Oliver there has been remarkable progression in treatment options these last few years using cutting edge antivirals and medications.

Oliver was immediately started on a treatment course and thanks to the Team is now doing very well and back at home with his brother George. He has been the perfect patient throughout his journey!

Oliver was bought into Pet Practice Ascot lethargic with an enlarged abdomen. This was an unusual case which required bloods tests, ultrasound scans and fluid analysis to make a diagnosis. Worryingly Oliver was diagnosed with FIP.
